Healthy Chocolate Mousse

Do you have guests coming over and you do not know what to prepare for dessert?

 

You can surprise them with a healthy treat that is too good to be true…

 

Every time we prepare this dessert for our guests, they are blown away! We never tell them the ingredients and then let them guess what is in our delicious chocolate mousse.

 

The usual guesses are ingredients such as milk and sugar. But no, the good news is… this healthy dessert is sugar-, dairy-, gluten-, soy-, and nut-free!

 

So this recipe is suitable for people with intolerances or allergies for these ingredients. Additionally, since there is no added sugar, we avoid feeling sluggish afterwards as well as the negative impacts too much sugar can have on our health.

 

Just make sure that your main meal does not include many other ‘healthy’ (unsaturated) fats like coconut oil, coconut milk, more avocado, or nuts. Since this recipe contains avocado, it can become too heavy after a meal with more of these fats.

 

This recipe is full of healthy vitamins and is prepared within 5 minutes, with only 3 ingredients!

 

(serves 4)

2 avocados

2 bananas

2-4 tbsp of cacao (depending on how dark you like your ‘chocolate’)

 

How to make it?

 

Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit, then scoop out the avocado with a spoon. Place it in a blender and add the bananas and cacao. Mix it until smooth and let it set in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
